Role Overview

Media Bar Productions, LLC is looking for a skilled and creative Professional Videographer/Camera Operator to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong eye for composition, lighting, and camera movement. You will be responsible for capturing high-quality footage for a variety of projects, including corporate videos, commercials, interviews, and branded content. The ideal candidate has experience working with professional camera equipment and understands how to achieve visually compelling shots that enhance storytelling.

Key Responsibilities 📋

  • Operate professional video cameras, ensuring high-quality footage that aligns with project objectives.
  • Set up and adjust lighting to achieve optimal visual aesthetics for each shoot.
  • Capture dynamic and engaging b-roll footage to enhance storytelling.
  • Work closely with directors, producers, and clients to execute creative visions.
  • Manage and organize video files, ensuring proper storage and transfer of footage.
  • Operate gimbals, sliders, drones, and other camera movement tools when required.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with cameras, audio, and lighting equipment on set.
  • Maintain and properly handle all video production equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.

Required Qualifications 🎓

  • 3+ years of professional videography experience.
  • Proficiency with cinema cameras (Canon, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and camera movement techniques.
  • Experience with different shooting styles, including handheld, tripod, and gimbal work.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing production needs.
  • Knowledge of basic audio recording techniques using lavalier, shotgun, or boom microphones.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multi-camera setups for interviews and live productions.
  • Familiarity with slow-motion, time-lapse, and high-speed recording techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of post-production workflows (color grading, proxy files, media management).
  • Experience working in corporate, commercial, or documentary filmmaking.
